Fundación Kareema had the honor of accompanying the Benalmádena Association for Disability Assistance (ABAD) in the symbolic laying of the foundation stone of what will be the future Benalmádena Comprehensive Disability Care Center, a long-awaited project for many families in the municipality.
Located in the Santangelo Norte area, the new center will offer a day center and a family respite unit, with capacity to serve up to 20 people with disabilities. This new facility seeks to provide a specialized environment for care, personal development, and daily support, while providing a well-deserved respite to the families caring for them.
The project has been funded in excess of €1.2 million, the result of an institutional collaboration between the Regional Government of Andalusia and Benalmádena City Council, and represents a milestone in strengthening the municipality’s social services.
The laying of the foundation stone brought together regional and local authorities, representatives of social organizations, neighborhood associations, and numerous other groups involved. The Kareema Foundation actively participated in the symbolic gesture of starting the construction, thus reaffirming its commitment to local initiatives that promote inclusion, accessibility, and collective well-being.
